Why do ovens have sabbath mode

Regular ovens shut off automatically after 12 hours; Sabbath-compliant ones keep on heating, so people can cook throughout the day.

Yet clearly these companies are spending a significant amount of time and energy pleasing a small group of consumers. He sees Sabbath Mode as a perfect example of the power of the connected kitchen. Cooking and warming of foods is permitted on Yom Tov. However, this opinion is not widely accepted. If someone forgot to put their oven into Sabbath mode before Shabbos or Yom Tov , they should consult with their local Rabbi as to whether a non-Jew may do that for them.

For the upcoming Shavuos holiday, which occurs on Friday, consumers are also reminded to create an Eruv Tavshilin before Yom Tov which permits them to do melacha including cooking on Yom Tov for Shabbos.
